Overview

Youth Worker (Health and Equalities) 2 x posts

Permanent. JNC Professional Range 19 – 21 - £36,035 - £37,737. Working 36.5 hours per week.

You will be based at the Lighthouse Young People Centre and have a city wide brief.

Responsibilities
  • deliver and maintain strong relationships with relevant organisations and strengthen the outcomes for young people.
  • ensure the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and the delivery of high‑quality youth work to our young people.
  • work collaboratively with other Youth Workers, young people and stakeholders to promote creative ideas to improve health outcomes for young people.
  • contribute to the performance targets across the delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision to young people.
Qualifications
  • educated to a degree level in Youth work with a JNC qualification.
  • experience in managing and development youth work programmes and projects.
  • understanding of relevant policies, practices, and national frameworks.
  • excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
