Job summary

Coleg Sir Gar in Wales is seeking a Wellbeing Mentor to provide targeted mentoring support to leaners at risk of NEET. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and improving learner outcomes, working within Learner Experience and Curriculum teams.

The post requires collaboration across services and campuses, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and wellbeing. The role is fixed-term and full-time, based at the Pibwrlwyd Campus, with a salary of £25,876–£28,078 per year.

Qualifications

• Counselling skills required for learner support and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring support to targeted learners.
• Undertake referral and assessment procedures.
• Maintain internal documentation and IT systems to measure impact.
• Contribute to safeguarding policies and reporting processes.
• Attend internal and external meetings as required.
• Deliver enrichment activities on campus for learners.
• Promote Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe behaviours.
• Support transitions and wider learner well-being priorities.
• Liaise with Learner Support, Learning Support and Curriculum Areas.
• Signpost to external partners and support services.
