Job summary

The Children's Society is recruiting a Project Worker (Vaping Practitioner) for Essex, based in Chelmsford with county-wide duties. The role focuses on delivering one-to-one and group support to children and young people engaged in vaping, educating on harm reduction and access to quitting support.

The post requires experience with vulnerable youths, a driving licence, and IT skills for case recording and scheduling. Competitive benefits and a 35-hour week are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in group and one-to-one settings.
• Understanding of risks and vulnerabilities around vaping and nicotine for youth.
• Must have access to a car and a full UK driving licence.
• Ability to use IT for case recording and calendar management.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate one-to-one and group support to children and young people.
• Deliver vaping harm-reduction education and cessation/reduction support.
• Cover the County of Essex, based at home and Chelmsford central office.
