Job summary

Confidential in London Borough of Southwark is seeking a dedicated Youth Housing Support Worker (16+) to provide trauma‑informed, personalised support in a 24/7 staffed project. You will work with young people to promote safety, wellbeing and progression towards independent living.

Role involves safeguarding, MDT collaboration, accurate record-keeping, and delivering flexibly across evenings, weekends, sleep-in shifts and holidays. 37 hours weekly on a rolling rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience supporting young people or homelessness services is desirable
• Experience with safeguarding procedures is essential
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
• Experience working in regulated/registered housing settings is desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, holistic support to residents
• Engage with MDTs and partner agencies; attend meetings
• Safeguard residents and report concerns promptly
• Maintain case files and complete required documentation
• Support residents in achieving outcomes and independent living
