Job summary

Peabody is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to assist young people aged 16–25 in supported housing. You will conduct needs and risk assessments, develop personalised support plans, and help with daily living skills while promoting safety and wellbeing in line with Peabody’s values.

You will liaise with external agencies, maintain records, and work as part of a collaborative team. Sleep-in shifts provide additional pay; interviews are planned in St Albans on 3rd and 4th November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable people in community settings or volunteering.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Compassionate, empathetic approach with a desire to help people.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT literacy and data-entry skills.
• Must have a driving licence and own vehicle for travel between schemes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs and risk assessments and develop support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting.
