Job summary

Peabody is seeking a Support Worker for Young People’s Services in Stevenage. You’ll support 16-25 year olds to develop skills, confidence and resilience to live independently, including those facing homelessness or mental health challenges.

37.5 hours weekly with two sleep-ins and £73.89 per sleep-in shift, plus base salary. You will complete needs assessments, review support plans, assist with daily living tasks, and help access education and employment opportunities, while liaising with

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable people in the community or similar setting.
• Strong communication and ability to build positive relationships with young people and partners.
• A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for travel between schemes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs and risk assessments and develop review support plans.
• Provide practical help with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting.
• Support housing retention and explore future housing options with individuals.
• Liaise with external agencies, attend meetings and maintain accurate records.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, and Peabody values in all actions.
