Peabody is hiring a Support Worker for Young Persons in Berkhamsted. You will provide person-centred support to young people living in supported housing, helping them develop life skills and independence, and access local resources.

You will work as part of a team to assess needs, create support plans, and safeguard service users, with travel between schemes and a focus on rights, dignity and inclusion. 37.5 hours weekly, £26,228 per year.

Formación

• Experience supporting vulnerable people in the community or a supported living environment (professional or voluntary).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with young people and external partners.
• Compassionate, empathetic approach with genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives.
• Confidence to work independently (including lone working) and as part of a team.
• Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• A driving licence and own vehicle for travel between schemes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people in supported housing.
• Conduct needs and risk assessments, develop and review support plans, and assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, shopping, finances).
• Support individuals to build confidence, life skills, and pursue personal goals.
• Liaise with external agencies, attend team meetings and training, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
