Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in Bromsgrove is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred care for young people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs at King George Close.

Role requires resilience, compassion and the ability to stay calm under pressure; full training and induction are provided. The role is permanent, full-time, with shift work including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 Health & Social Care
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred practice
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual plans
• Build trusting and professional relationships
• Support individuals during periods of emotional distress
• Follow Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care (where required)
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support with appointments, activities, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively within a team
• Work flexibly on a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and waking nights
