Job summary

North East Help Limited is seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers for its supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–18. You will provide person-centred support, helping them build confidence, practical life skills and independence, while maintaining safeguarding oversight and contributing to risk assessments and safety plans.

You will also work with Social Workers and other professionals, maintain accurate records and handovers, and handle sleep-in shifts and weekend

Qualifications

• Provide person-centred support to young people aged 16–18.
• Build positive professional relationships and safeguarding oversight.
• Contribute to risk assessments, support plans and safety plans.
• Maintain records and complete handovers.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required.
• Sleep-in shifts and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to develop confidence and practical life skills.
• Liaise with Social Workers, Personal Advisers, education providers and other professionals.
• Record incidents or concerns appropriately.
• Work as part of a supportive team within a housing service for young people.
• Deliver support in line with individual plans and risk management measures.
