Job summary

Changing Lives in Sunderland runs Harbour View, a 24-hour supported accommodation for young people aged 16–19 who are care‑experienced and facing homelessness. We are seeking a Project Worker to join a small, dedicated team to support young people with their daily living, safety and wellbeing.

You will deliver direct support, share best practices, and help residents develop independent living skills while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and housing management.

Qualifications

• Experience direct work with young people (16-25) including support planning, safeguarding and risk assessment.
• Experience with housing management and referral processes.
• Ability to work as part of a supportive multi‑staff team and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to Harbour View residents to develop independent living skills.
• Deliver life-skills workshops and signpost to external agencies as needed.
• Participate in regular reflective practice and case management reviews with the team.
• Maintain resident files and ensure GDPR compliance and safeguarding requirements.
