Powys County Council in North Powys is recruiting a Social Worker for the 14+ Through Care Team. You will support looked-after children as they move into adulthood, focusing on wellbeing, education, safety and positive outcomes, within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will work as part of a team and handle duties such as duty coverage, safeguarding, and building relationships with professionals to manage risk and meet needs.

Qualifications

• Strong assessment and written skills.
• Ability to identify risk and manage complex situations.
• Passion for helping disadvantaged young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Willingness to learn about Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.

Responsabilités

• Provide a social work service to young people to keep them safe and enable potential.
• Work as part of a team, with rota duties and covering for colleagues.
• Foster good relationships with colleagues and partner agencies to enable effective team work.
• Identify risk issues and ensure safeguarding measures are in place to minimise risk.
