Job summary

Routes to Work South is seeking a Youth Services Leader to drive high-quality, person-centred employability support and to grow the Youth Hub services across South Lanarkshire. You’ll lead a team, manage performance to KPIs, and partner with partners to expand pathways into training and employment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll ensure data quality, compliance and continuous improvement, shaping RTWS’s youth services strategy and impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading or supervising staff in employability or similar.
• Strong experience in performance management with KPI targets.
• Ability to lead in a high-support, high-challenge environment.
• Understanding of contractual delivery and governance in funded programmes.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate staff delivering employability services.
• Manage staff performance, including sickness and absence, annual leave, training and development, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings and appraisals.
• Hold monthly caseload reviews with staff to monitor client progression and address barriers.
• Organise and chair regular team meetings with clear priorities.
• Monitor programme performance and provide forecasts and management information.
• Ensure accurate, timely data recording and GDPR compliance.
• Coordinate with partners, stakeholders and internal colleagues.
