Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is recruiting a Youth Activity Worker to help deliver high quality youth work opportunities for young people aged 12-25 in Stewartry (Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbright).

You’ll join a friendly team and help create welcoming spaces, deliver sessions across various formats, and support personal development while championing youth voice. A current driving licence is essential; PVG checks apply and training is provided.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme required before offer
• Current driving licence essential
• Experience in youth work welcomed; attitude matters most
• Disclosures/Police checks will be required for residence outside UK

Responsibilities

• Create fun, safe, welcoming spaces for young people
• Deliver engaging youth work sessions: drop-ins, projects, outdoor activities, events
• Support young people's personal and social development; build confidence and leadership
• Champion youth voice; enable young people to shape services and priorities
