Job summary

Willoughby Place Limited is recruiting Bank Support Workers and Key Workers to join its Ofsted-regulated services across North London and South East London. This is a bank/zero-hours role with shifts arranged as required.

You will support young people to develop practical skills, confidence and independence as they move towards adulthood, including education, training and daily living activities. Essential qualifications include a Level 3 qualification in working with young people and a Level 2

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in working with young people.
• Level 2 Safeguarding qualification and safeguarding responsibilities.
• At least two years' experience supporting teenagers or young people in Ofsted-regulated residential or supported accommodation setting.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and produce accurate, high-quality records.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with external professionals and agencies.
• The legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent and person-centred support to young people.
• Deliver structured key-work sessions in line with individual support plans.
• Support young people with education, employment, training, appointments and meaningful activities.
• Help young people develop independent living skills, routines, self-care and positive decision-making.
• Support young people to understand and manage risks, including exploitation, missing episodes, substance misuse and offending behaviour.
• Identify, record and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Complete daily logs, key-work records, risk assessments, incident reports, support plans and other required records.
• Maintain clear professional boundaries and act as a positive role model.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, placing authorities and other professionals.
• Contribute to health and safety checks and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
