Job summary

Homes2Inspire is seeking a Residential BANK Support Worker in Desborough, NN14, on a zero-hours contract. You will cover shifts to support the home during illnesses, holidays and training days, while promoting safe, supportive care for young people.

Your role includes daily caring tasks, safeguarding, and helping young people develop life skills, with flexible hours including evenings and sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• Compassion and patience when supporting young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Willingness to pursue QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Provide daily care including cooking, cleaning, budgeting and shopping.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Maintain a safe environment following procedures and Ofsted rules.
• Build positive relationships and model appropriate behaviour.
• Transport young people to school, appointments and activities.
• Keep accurate records and liaise with management and professionals.
• Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
• Drivers with a full UK licence are essential.
