Job summary

ACAC - ATLANTIC COAST ATHLETIC CLUBS is seeking staff to supervise and engage children in a range of activities, including homework support, outdoor play, reading, and arts and crafts. You will ensure safety, follow licensing standards, and foster a warm, educational environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining student-to-counselor ratios, delivering friendly service to members and parents, and assisting with daily activity planning and cleaning to keep the facility well-presented.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass State required background checks
• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant coursework
• Experience with youth programming or summer camps is desirable
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with children in activities that support development
• Follow licensing standards for child care
• Initiate interactions to build teamwork and relationships
• Deliver friendly service to members, guests and staff
• Promote safety and security of all children at all times
• Ensure group rotations run smoothly and on schedule
• Maintain visibility during shifts and communicate policies to students/parents
• Maintain appropriate student-to-counselor ratios and stay within sight and sound
• Assist with group management and daily activity planning
• Ensure area is cleaned and prepared per standards
