Job summary

Essex County Council is seeking a Targeted Youth Adviser to support young people at risk of disengagement from education and employment through intensive mentoring and groupwork. You will help them access education, training and work opportunities, aligning with government guidance and working with Education, Health, Social Services and Youth Offending Service.

Qualifications

IAG qualifications or equivalent with CPD and knowledge of guidance for young people.
Experience collaborating with schools, health, social services and youth services.
Proven ability to engage and support young people to re-engage with education or work.

Responsibilities

Manage a defined caseload of young people and provide impartial information and guidance.
Work with families and schools to remove barriers to education and learning.
Deliver one-to-one mentoring and group work, including large scale events.
Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure coherent support for learning and employment.
Ensure data management and compliance with information-sharing protocols.
