Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking compassionate Youth Mentors for a SEMH provision in Stockport. You will provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring to pupils, helping them build confidence, resilience and engagement with education.

The role requires patience, empathy and the ability to support pupils with anxiety, trauma and challenging behaviour. Hours are 8:30am to 3:45pm, with pay from £97 per day and ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in educational/SEMH settings.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with pupils and families.
• Ability to implement behaviour support plans and record progress.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring and pastoral support.
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive behaviours.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes and structured activities.
• Implement individual behaviour support plans and targeted interventions.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Create a calm, inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued.
