Job summary

Shaw Trust is seeking a Youth Worker for the Prospects team in Norfolk. The role supports young people aged 14–18 at risk of statutory intervention and helps 10–14s progress from primary to secondary education. You will work across schools and community settings, offering tailored, flexible support to enable sustainable progress.

Purpose

We have an exciting and flexible opportunity for a #YouthWorker to join our Norfolk youth team for Prospects, part of Shaw Trust Youth. Based across Norfolk, mainly in South Norfolk, with some schools in Breckland and Norwich. This role supports young people aged 14–18 who are at risk of statutory intervention and young people aged 10-14 on their progression from primary to secondary school.

We’re ideally looking for someone to join us for 25 to 37 hours per week, term time only, but we’re open to discussion — for the right person.

Our Youth Workers enjoy autonomy and flexibility to tailor support to each young person, helping them make sustainable progress. As a key member of the Youth Early Support Service, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference in young lives, helping them realise their potential.

You’ll work across schools and the community, building trusted relationships and delivering impactful support. If you’re passionate about youth work and hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Youth Work (or equivalent), we’d love to hear from you!
