Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Young People’s Criminal Justice Worker to support children and young people across County Durham, primarily based at Saddler House. The role involves flexible, community-based interventions to reduce harm from substance use and to promote positive change.

You will assess, plan and deliver tailored support, working with families and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, person-centred care. Travel across County Durham is required, with some evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Compassionate and resilient with a passion for helping young people.
  • Experience in comprehensive assessments of children and families.
  • Understanding of substance use impact on youth and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and manage a caseload.
  • Provide one-to-one and group interventions within Youth Justice framework.
  • Collaborate with families, carers and partner agencies for coordinated support.
  • Ensure safeguarding and accurate record-keeping; travel across County Durham.
