Job summary

Police Scotland in Scotland seeks a proactive youth justice professional to support the provision of the Concern Hub for officers and staff. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with a hybrid working model and ongoing professional development.

Interviews are scheduled weeks commencing 23rd/30th November 2026. The role offers a competitive salary, annual leave, pension and wellbeing support as part of a national organisation serving communities across Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strategic overview of all offending by persons under the age of 18, in accordance with the Whole Systems Approach (WSA) and Early and Effective Intervention (EEI) processes.
• Liaise closely with partners and make decisions around the process for young people who offend under the age of 18 years based on Lord Advocate guidelines and own professional experience.
• Collate, analyse and review youth justice referrals from operational officers in order to recommend appropriate disposal.
• Liaise with the Children's Reporter and Procurator Fiscal service when required.
