Job summary

Fylde Coast YMCA is seeking two Housing Support Workers to join our Supported Housing team in the Foyer service for 16–25-year-olds. You will welcome residents, help them understand their accommodation rights and responsibilities, and support budgeting and daily living skills in a safe, structured setting.

You'll work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, and will contribute to ongoing support sessions, house meetings, and clear record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Completing sign-ups, inductions, and welcoming young people into the service.
• Supporting young people to understand their accommodation, rights, and responsibilities.
• Helping young people manage rent accounts and develop budgeting skills.
• Carrying out weekly accommodation checks and reporting repairs.
• Supporting young people to develop independence skills and achieve personal goals.
• Encouraging engagement in support sessions, activities, and house meetings.
• Ensuring applicants and residents are kept informed throughout the process.
• Maintaining a safe, well-managed and supportive living environment.
• Keeping accurate records and completing day-to-day housing support administration.
