Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join the Housing & Independence Service. You will help care-experienced young people on their journey to independence, delivering the Key to Your Future programme and related preparation for tenancy.

The post requires experience with young people in care, a supportive approach, and openness to therapeutic methods. A DBS check is required, and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, children in care and care leavers.
• Willingness to develop and use therapeutic approaches in the service.
• An innovative, creative thinker who looks for opportunities to improve the offer.

Responsibilities

• Support staff with our young people on their road to independence.
• Be a supportive and inspirational member of the support team.
• Engage with care-experienced young people to help them transition to independent living.
