Zusammenfassung

Telford College is seeking an Employment & Skills Mentor to support young people aged 16–24 through the Youth Hub. You will manage a caseload, provide personalised employability support, and help with CVs, interviews and job searches to secure progression into employment, apprenticeships or further education.

The role focuses on building confidence, removing barriers, and delivering one-to-one and group activities, while collaborating with DWP Work Coaches, employers and community organisations.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working in employability, recruitment or progression-focused roles.
• Experience supporting individuals into employment, education or training outcomes.
• Experience managing a caseload and working to targets/KPIs.
• Experience delivering one-to-one support/mentoring.
• Experience delivering group sessions, workshops or job clubs.
• Experience of outreach/community-based engagement.

Aufgaben

• Manage a caseload of participants with regular contact to drive engagement and progression.
• Deliver regular one-to-one mentoring sessions to support participants into employment, education or training.
• Plan and deliver group-based employability sessions, including job clubs and workshops.
• Provide practical employability support: CV writing, applications, interview prep and mock interviews.
• Support progression into employment, apprenticeships or further education.
• Help participants overcome barriers: confidence, mental health, housing, finances and related challenges.
• Deliver outreach across the community, including hub activity, sign-up days and events.
