Job summary

LiveWest is seeking a Youth Development Worker for night shifts at Bristol Foyer, a supported accommodation for 16–25-year-olds. You will provide one-to-one support, help create and review plans, manage risks, and assist with housing matters and budgeting.

The role offers training, career development, and a compassionate, inclusive workplace culture. Working hours are 7pm–6am on a rolling rota with weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with 16–25 year olds.
• Understanding safeguarding and mental health considerations.
• Experience in housing, homelessness, or youth support environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16-25.
• Develop and review tailored support and action plans.
• Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
• Support tenancy and housing management.
• Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
• Guide budgeting and paying bills for young people.
• Explore pathways into education, training and employment.
• Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, DV services, landlords, etc.).
• Help prepare for independent living and move-on.
• Adapt communication to deliver person-centred, creative support.
