Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Youth Development Worker for a supported accommodation service in Bideford. The role is full-time and temporary for an initial six weeks, offering £15.34 per hour and a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday, within an 8am–9pm bandwidth.

You will provide tailored one-to-one support to young people aged 16–25 to build independence. You will help with action plans, risk management, budgeting, housing applications and access to education or employment, working with

Qualifications

• Experience with young people, homelessness or supported housing.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 key worker support to young people aged 16–25.
• Develop and review individual support and action plans.
• Complete and update risk assessments and risk management plans.
• Support young people with tenancy and housing management.
• Assist with welfare benefits applications (Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
• Help budgeting, bills and managing finances.
• Support access to education, training and employment.
• Collaborate with external agencies including mental health and housing providers.
• Help develop independent living skills and move-on plans.
