Job summary

Building Recruitment Co Ltd is seeking a Youth Development Worker in Bideford for a 6 to 8 week temporary role. You will work 37.5 hours per week providing one-to-one support to young people aged 16–25 in a supported accommodation setting, helping them develop life skills and move towards independent living.

The role requires establishing strong relationships, safeguarding awareness, and collaboration with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people.
• Understanding of safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and mental health.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS on update service.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16–25.
• Develop and review support plans and action plans for each individual goal.
• Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
