Job summary

Lexia Education Services Ltd in Somerset is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support young people with SEMH and SEN in school and community settings, delivering a tailored mix of intervention through sport and academic support to re-engage learners.

You will mentor individually or in small groups, use creativity to foster engagement, help with emotional regulation, and collaborate with SENCOs, teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring SEMH/SEN in school or community settings.
• Empathy, patience, and commitment to working with young people.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and families.

Responsibilities

• Mentor 1:1 or in small groups, supporting SEMH and SEN through daily journeys.
• Encourage expression through creativity to engage students.
• Support emotional regulation and help build resilience.
• Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches.
• Collaborate with educators and families to tailor support.
