Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support children and young people across a range of primary and secondary settings. The role emphasises 1:1 and small-group mentoring to help pupils re-engage with education and develop positive behaviours.

We welcome candidates with experience as Youth Mentors, Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers or Pastoral Support Workers who are confident managing challenging behaviour and committed to safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people.
• Confident handling challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
• Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviours.
• Supporting pupils to re-engage with education.
• Delivering mentoring and pastoral interventions.
• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and SENCOs.
