Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a Youth Worker for a full-time role in Heywood, Lancashire. The successful candidate will support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, work 1:1 and within a whole-school approach to promote resilience and positive routines.

Experience with youth engagement and mentoring is highly valued, with collaboration across pastoral teams and leaders to reintegrate learners into classes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Experience mentoring and engaging young people in youth/community settings.
• Ability to de-escalate situations and build trust with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 who need behavioural guidance.
• Provide whole-school behaviour support and help reintegrate pupils into lessons.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils at risk of exclusion.
• Act as a mentor and role model for young people with social, emotional or behavioural needs.
• Encourage engagement, resilience and emotional regulation.
• Work with pastoral staff and senior leaders to support transitions back to mainstream routines.
