South Tyneside Council’s Youth Service is recruiting a suitably motivated Youth Activity Worker to provide a range of informal positive activities and support to young people across South Tyneside.

The role requires evening, weekend and school holiday working, open access projects and outreach work as part of the Youth Offer, with a pro rata salary and DBS checks. Join a dedicated team delivering sport, cultural and volunteering activities.

• Deliver open access youth projects and participation provision.
• Support targeted youth work, detached/outreach activities and residential/holiday programmes.
• Assist in delivery of key Youth Service priorities and safeguarding requirements.

Youth Activity Worker, 8.5 hpw (Youth Service, South Tyneside) £27,274 pa pro rata (£14.13 ph) (Inclusive Salary)

South Tyneside Council’s Youth Service are looking to recruit a suitably motivated, qualified and experienced individual to provide a range of informal positive activities as part of the Youth Service’s Youth Offer.

• cultural and drama activities
• residential trips
• holiday programmes
• volunteering
• social action programmes and many more.

The successful candidate will need to operate flexibly and responsively in order to meet the needs and demands of young people in South Tyneside in order to improve outcomes. This will include evening, weekend and school holiday working.

You will become an integral part of the Youth Service and assist in the delivery of its key priorities.
