Compass is recruiting a Young Persons Substance Use - Health & Wellbeing Practitioner for the Compass Safe East team serving Tower Hamlets. You will assess, plan and deliver interventions to children and young people, with engagement across schools and community partners to boost wellbeing and outcomes.
You will use trauma-informed approaches, support families, and contribute to prevention and early intervention work while maintaining accurate records and working in a multi-agency environment.

As a Young Persons Substance Use - Health & Wellbeing Practitioner within Compass Safe East , you will provide support to children, young people and families across Tower Hamlets. The service offers advice, guidance and interventions on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics, including emotional wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, relationships, school challenges, substance use and access to specialist support. Using a person centred and trauma informed approach, you will undertake assessments, develop support plans and deliver one to one and group interventions. Working across schools, community settings and partner organisations, you will help young people build resilience, improve wellbeing and access the support they need to thrive. You will play an important role in delivering prevention and early intervention work while collaborating with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
A qualification in youth work, social work, psychology, counselling, mental health, substance use, or a related field is essential. Experience delivering health promotion, prevention or early intervention programmes would be helpful but is not essential.
