Job summary

Compass Changing Lives is seeking a Team Leader to lead a MHST in Derby schools, guiding clinicians to deliver safe, effective CBT interventions for children and young people with complex needs.

You will oversee risk management, embed evidence-based practice, mentor staff and foster cross-agency collaboration to meet local needs. A leadership role with a strong focus on safeguarding and development.

Qualifications

• Qualified in social work, nursing or psychology.
• Registration with a professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC).
• Experience delivering CBT and working with children and young people with complex needs.
• A supervision qualification or willingness to complete one.
• Experience leading or managing teams in a multi-agency setting.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and mental health legislation.
• Analytical skills with confidence using data, systems and digital tools to improve services.
• Excellent communication, planning and workload management skills.

As our Team Leader, you'll provide day-to-day leadership to a talented team within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in schools across the Derby area. You'll support practitioners to deliver safe, effective interventions , while also shaping how we collaborate with schools and partners to meet local needs.

About You
