Job summary

Compass is recruiting a Young Persons Substance Use - Health & Wellbeing Practitioner for the Compass Safe East team serving Tower Hamlets. You will assess, plan and deliver interventions to children and young people, with engagement across schools and community partners to boost wellbeing and outcomes.

You will use trauma-informed approaches, support families, and contribute to prevention and early intervention work while maintaining accurate records and working in a multi-agency environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Experience supporting emotional wellbeing, health, substance use or related needs.
• Safeguarding, risk assessment and child development knowledge.
• Ability to work with families and partner agencies; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments and develop support plans.
• Deliver one-to-one and group interventions.
• Work across schools, community settings and partner organisations.
• Help young people build resilience and wellbeing.
• Deliver prevention and early intervention work with families and professionals.
