As an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner, you`ll play a key role in our Mental Health Support Team (MHST), collaborating with schools and education settings to deliver innovative interventions . Working with children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs, you`ll help them develop the tools and confidence to thrive.
You`ll deliver evidence-based activities , from individual appointments to group sessions , under the guidance of experienced practitioners. Contributing to the Whole School Approach , you`ll facilitate sessions such as workshops and assemblies while promoting public health initiatives. By creating and sharing tailored resources, you`ll make mental health support accessible and meaningful .
Building strong relationships with schools, families, and partner agencies will be essential, as will maintaining accurate records to support effective decision-making. We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong foundation in mental health and emotional wellbeing support. You`ll hold a BTEC higher diploma, foundation degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with at least one year of post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and families.

This role requires regular travel to individual schools, so the ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential. However, we are committed to removing barriers wherever possible.
