Job summary

Brown & Wills Recruitment is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead on projects across the Yorkshire region. The role focuses on day-to-day operational leadership of the site management team and oversight of sub-contractor activity on various commercial builds.

The successful candidate will report to senior management, manage client liaison, and navigate high-pressure negotiations while ensuring HS&E and quality standards are met across all operations.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading site management on commercial builds.
• Experience on education or leisure projects is of interest.
• Strong process management capability.
• Education to HNC/HND level or degree level preferred.
• Valid SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certifications.
• Strong IT and paperwork skills, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the operational delivery team.
• Manage site subcontractors on site as required.
• Report to senior management on daily performance and delivery issues.
• Deal with negotiations and pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure HS&E, quality standards, processes and policies are followed.
• Maintain high quality and address issues with sub-contractors/trades.
• Liaise with clients and manage stakeholder relationships.
