Principal People is recruiting a Site H&S Manager for a major construction project in North Yorkshire. You will lead practical H&S on site, coordinating multiple parties and providing guidance to contractors and the project team.

The role requires a NEBOSH qualification or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to chair meetings and build cross-functional relationships within a live construction environment.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or equivalent H&S qualification.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong construction knowledge and practical H&S leadership.
• Ability to chair meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Daily site walks and proactive H&S monitoring.
• Provide practical H&S advice to contractors and project team.
• Coordinate interfaces between contractors and trades.
• Identify and manage key construction and people/plant risks.
• Challenge contractors and drive corrective action.
• Chair weekly site-wide H&S and coordination meeting.
• Produce weekly/monthly H&S reporting.
• Support the site-wide coordination pack with upcoming works and risks.
• Communicate confidently with operatives and senior stakeholders.
• Produce professional reports and presentations.
