Job summary

Edge Careers in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Groundworks Project Manager to take ownership of commercial groundworks and infrastructure projects. You will oversee from pre-start through handover, ensuring safety, programme and budget targets with support from an established management team.

This role offers long-term security, a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to lead high-quality groundworks for a well-regarded contractor.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Project Manager within groundworks or civil engineering.
Strong background delivering commercial groundwork projects.
Excellent knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, sewers and external works.
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
SMSTS
CSCS Managers Card
First Aid at Work
Full UK Driving Licence.
Additional qualifications such as Temporary Works Coordinator, IOSH, NEBOSH or NRSWA would be advantageous but are not essential.

Responsibilities

Managing groundworks projects from pre-start through to completion.
Supporting and overseeing Site Managers across live developments.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
Coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and material resources.
Monitoring programme performance and resolving issues before they affect delivery.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors and clients.
Maintaining strong relationships with site teams, clients and stakeholders
