Job summary

Edge Careers is seeking an experienced Groundworks Project Manager to own delivery of commercial groundworks and infrastructure projects in Yorkshire, stationed at a single project until completion. The role offers long-term security, a strong order book and a professional management team, with a salary or day rate and a company van plus fuel card.

You will oversee projects from pre-start to handover, lead site teams, and ensure safety, programme and budget compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience in groundworks or civils.
• Experience delivering commercial groundworks projects.
• Knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, sewers and external works.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, First Aid at Work and a full UK driving licence.
• Additional qualifications such as Temporary Works Coordinator, IOSH, NEBOSH or NRSWA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing groundworks projects from pre-start through to completion.
• Supporting and overseeing Site Managers across live developments.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and materials.
• Monitoring programme performance and resolving issues before they affect delivery.
• Working closely with Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors and clients.
• Maintaining strong relationships with site teams, clients and stakeholders.
