Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager for a busy new-build housing site in Yorkshire. This permanent role offers long-term stability with a respected contractor and potential for self-employed arrangements.

You will oversee all groundworks operations, manage site teams and subcontractors, coordinate plant and material deliveries, and ensure safety, on-time delivery, and high-quality standards while reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience managing groundworks on residential developments.
• SMSTS and CSCS certification required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage programme, logistics and site safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all groundworks operations on a busy new-build housing site.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and coordinate plant and material deliveries.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to high-quality standards.
• Maintain records and report progress to senior management.
• Build relationships with the client, housebuilder and internal teams.
