Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is offering a Year in Industry placement at the Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm, Lowestoft, to gain experience in data analysis, wind farm operations, and project support.

The role provides hands-on engineering exposure, collaboration with a global team, and a development programme including training and mentoring. Eligible students can join the team for a 13-month fixed-term placement starting July 2027.

Qualifications

• Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience in data analysis, wind farm operations, costing, project management and internal systems.
• Analyse data relating to stopped turbines to support operational decision-making.
• Help develop a maintenance plan for SOV troubleshooting activities and the next project.
• Support the team with day-to-day engineering and operational activities.
• Contribute to engineering projects at the Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm.
• Gain practical offshore experience by supporting projects at sea.
