Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a specialist secondary school in Hackney. You will support a Year 7 class of 14 pupils, helping learners access learning, build confidence, and develop communication throughout the day.

Role focuses on supporting lessons, promoting positive behaviour, and collaborating with teachers and the SEND team to ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people preferred.
• SEND experience desirable but not essential.
• Patient, proactive, and resilient.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students during lessons

• Assist with communication and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
