Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in Enfield, North London, starting after October half term.

This role involves supporting Year 6 pupils with learning, behaviour and development, plus providing 1:1 and small-group support and assisting the class teacher with daily lessons. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, full-time, from after half term.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Confident supporting pupils with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges.
• Patient, proactive and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Able to work effectively alongside the class teacher and wider school team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individual Year 6 pupils with their learning, development and behaviour.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils engage with their learning.
• Assisting the class teacher with daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
