Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a Year 6 Teaching Assistant in Enfield, North London, starting after October half term. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, supporting Year 6 pupils and assisting the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will have prior primary school TA experience, especially with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges, and will work well with the school team to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Experience supporting Year 6 pupils and those with additional learning needs.
• Patient, proactive and enthusiastic in helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support individual Year 6 pupils with learning, development and behaviour.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to engage pupils in learning.
• Assist the class teacher with daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
