Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Kettering to appoint a Year 6 Teacher for a long-term temporary role with the potential for permanence. The post focuses on upper KS2, SATs preparation and smooth transition to secondary education.

You will plan engaging lessons, monitor pupil progress and contribute to a positive classroom culture, supporting SEND pupils and fostering a love of learning during this important year.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 6 and KS2 SATs preparation is desirable.
• Ability to plan engaging, differentiated lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and high expectations of pupil behaviour.
• Commitment to supporting pupils' social and emotional development and transition to secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across Year 6.
• Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs and monitor progress.
• Create a positive classroom environment that fosters independence and motivation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to ensure strong pupil outcomes.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development during this key KS2 year.
