Job summary

Supply Desk, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Marlow, is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to lead a KS2 class through SATs preparation and the transition to secondary education. This is a full-time position starting in September, with a focus on attainment and pupil wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have KS2 experience, strong classroom management, and the ability to differentiate lessons, support pupils with SEN, and collaborate closely with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the Upper Key Stage 2 national curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for KS2 SATs, including targeted interventions and exam readiness
  • Supporting pupils progress in core subjects (reading, writing, and maths) with a focus on attainment and progress
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and booster sessions
  • Creating a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Providing targeted support for pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN
  • Supporting pupils transition to secondary school, fostering independence and resilience
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Marlow to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a Key Stage 2 specialist to lead a class through a crucial stage of their primary education and prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school.

This role would suit a motivated and resilient teacher with a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation, who is passionate about achieving strong outcomes while supporting pupils confidence and wellbeing.

The Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs and supporting their transition into secondary education, ensuring they are both academically ready and emotionally prepared for the next stage.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
