Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 6 SEND Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Standish, WN6. The role is full-time, 08:30am–15:30pm with a 30-minute lunch, and is a long-term temporary position to start as soon as possible.

You will work one-to-one with a Year 6 pupil, support catch-up sessions, and collaborate with the class teacher on lesson planning, while promoting an inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education or similar— or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a Year 6 pupil.
• Assist with catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Assist with lesson planning and adapt resources with the class teacher.
• Foster an inclusive classroom where every student belongs.
