Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Standish (WN6). You will work one-to-one with a Year 3 child on a long-term, temporary basis, with a 08:30–15:30 schedule and a 30-minute lunch break.

This role supports learning, inclusion, and catch-up sessions within a faith-based school community. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, plus recent school experience and a Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent, are expected.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills
• Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team

Responsibilities

• One-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil
• Deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
• Assist with lesson planning and adapting resources
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment
