Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Year 6 Intervention Teacher to provide targeted support in English and maths for students preparing for KS2 SATs. The role is based in West Ealing, London, full-time and starting January 2027 on a long-term temporary basis.

You will deliver small-group interventions, identify gaps in learning, and tailor sessions to pupil needs, while collaborating with the Year 6 team to raise attainment and confidence. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and must be in Good Standing.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and KS2 SATs.
• Experience teaching upper KS2, ideally Year 6.
• Confident delivering targeted interventions in English and maths.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group and targeted interventions across Year 6.
• Support SATs preparation in English and maths.
• Identify gaps in learning and adapt sessions.
• Reinforce key concepts in reading, grammar, arithmetic and reasoning.
• Monitor pupil progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Build pupils' confidence and develop effective learning strategies.
• Work with Year 6 teachers to coordinate support and share progress.
• Help pupils prepare for assessments with a positive learning environment.
