Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Tameside. The ideal candidate will have strong Year 6 experience and be confident supporting SATs preparation, interventions, and SEND learners.

Qualifications

• Year 6 experience and understanding of the demands of the year group.
• Experience in supporting SATs preparation and interventions.
• Ability to support across the classroom in a general TA capacity.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and adapting learning.
• Strong resilience, proactivity and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Committed to a long-term role.

Responsibilities

• Support Year 6 pupils with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Assist with SATs preparation and targeted interventions.
• Provide general classroom support and supervision as needed.
• Support SEND learners with tailored learning approaches.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and maintain a safe learning environment.
